Itinerary

Day 1  We begin our journey as we fly into Rapid City, South Dakota at the base of the Black Hills. Where you will meet your Tour Director and be brought to your hotel in the heart of the downtown area.          
2 Nights Rapid City, SD

Day 2 This morning we enter Custer State Park in a rugged area of South Dakota’s Black Hills known for having the largest free-roaming bison herds. Continuing on, we visit Crazy Horse Memorial where you can watch history in the making as drilling and blasting continue on the largest sculpture undertaking ever. This memorial is a tribute for all Native American tribes, it is breathtaking and inspiring. We visit Mt. Rushmore National Memorial during day where you can view these majestic sculpture portraits of four American Presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln. We visit Keystone a charming and historic town surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Black Hills. This evening we will return to Mt. Rushmore National Memorial Illuminated in the night sky with accompanying Patriotic music.

Day 3 After breakfast we travel to Deadwood, SD. Here you will follow in the footsteps of historic Old West Legends such as Wild Bill Hickok, Calamity Jane and Seth Bullock in Deadwood.  This 1870’s gold rush town, named for the dead trees in its gulch, became a National Historic Landmark in 1961. Bring your lucky charm for the games at tonight’s hotel. B                                                                             Overnight, Deadwood, SD

Day 4 Today we visit the iconic Devils Tower. A monolithic tower of igneous rock formation of
hexagonal columns that rises dramatically from the surrounding landscape. Highlighted in many movies and television shows. B,D
Overnight Sheridan WY

Day 5 Today we travel through the Buffalo Bill Country around the Bighorn Mountains on our way to Cody. Visit the site of the Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument where  Lt. Col. George Armstrong Custer Had his last stand. We arrive in Cody, a famous town is known as the small western town with the big city attitude. Explore the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, a complex of five museums Buffalo Bill Museum, the Plains Indians Museum, the Whitney Western Art Museum, the Draper Natural History Museum, and the Cody Firearms Museum. Then enjoy dinner at Buffalo Bill’s Irma Hotel. In the evening you may enjoy the Cody Nite Rodeo,  one of the longest-running successful professional rodeos and making Cody the “Rodeo Capitol of the World.” B, D

Day 6 We make our way through Wyoming to a wonderful location where Montana and Wyoming meet,
Yellowstone National Park! With herds of bison, elk and other wildlife, and stunning geo-thermal wonders found nowhere else and of course the notable Old Faithful Geyser. Our lodging is at the west entrance of the park. B

Day 7 Today we have a local step on guide as a special treat to give us a wonderful day in Yellowstone     National Park. You will see the Lower Falls and the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, and more sights and wildlife to capture your attention. B 

Day 8 This morning we travel to Grand Teton National Park. Few sights are as breathtaking as the 40-mile-long Teton Range and the lush valley located at the foot of the range, famously known as Jackson Hole. From the abundance of wildlife to the winding Snake River to the striking views wherever you turn, these mountains rise gloriously into the sky and demand your attentionEnjoy this incredible beauty with a leisurely Float Trip soaking in the sights (Smooth River, no rapids). In the Town Square see the famous
arches made of antlers. B

Day 9 This morning we travel to Salt Lake City, UT, and board our flight home. While on our motorcoach, we can say goodbye to new friends as you travel home reminiscing about the wonders, both natural and manmade, we have experienced on our journey. B
