Itinerary

Day 1 Depart for the Central Coast of California with the Christmas Spirit in every place we visit. Our first stop will be downtown Santa Barbara, where we can stretch our legs while seeing the town decorated for the holidays. 
Then continue to our hotel for the next two nights at the Embassy Suites in San Luis Obispo. After a welcome
reception, take a stroll through the vibrant downtown area, filled with unique shops, boutiques, and local eateries
decorated for the holidays.

Day 2 Today spend some time exploring the northern coast of California. As we travel along the coast, see the rich vegetative hills meet the sea with scenic grandeur,
allowing us to admire the natural beauty and wildlife. View sea otters at  Morro Rock. Then spend time in the unique town of Cambria as the village celebrates the season. Next, it’s off to explore CHRISTMAS AT HEARST CASTLE. This was one of William Randolph Hearst’s favorite holidays. The enchanted Holiday Twilight Tour will show you the setting by which Hearst entertained his guests on a grand scale. This tour will take visitors through the grounds, Casa del Mar guest house, and the grand social rooms on

the ground floor of Casa Grande, glittering with holiday cheer. Each room contains lavish decorations of hand-made garlands, brilliant red poinsettias, and two18-foot, fully decorated Christmas trees with lights and traditional ornaments. Our evening is a holiday favorite as we visit a German-themed Cambria Christmas Market. This traditional Christmas
market has over 2 million lights, live music, and food and craft vendors. B

Day 3 We leave our hotel and travel south until we arrive in Solvang. “The Danish Capital of America” is fully decorated for their Winterfest Celebration. You will have time to shop and have lunch on your own. As we head home with all the sights and sounds of this tour, you will surely have the Spirit of Christmas in your heart. B

NOTE: The HEARST CASTLE TOUR is 1 ½ hours long and 190 steps and a 2/3 mile walk. Canes are acceptable on the tour. Tour is subject to change by the California State Parks department.
