Itinerary

Day 1: Friday, 12/29 – We begin our tour by flying to San
Francisco. When your flight arrives you will be met by your Friendly Excursions tour director. Your hotel is the Embassy Suites by Hilton San Francisco Airport Waterfront, perfectly situated between San Francisco, Monterey & Carmel and the beautiful Wine Country. Enjoy 4 restful nights here without the need to repack your suit case. 

Day 2: Saturday, 12/30—Carmel & Monterey Today we travel to Monterey with visiting the famous Monterey Bay Aquarium, one of the largest Aquariums in the world. It is home to more than 500
species of marine life and 200 galleries and exhibits. The Outer Bay Galleries showcase the mysteries of the open ocean from jellies, sunfish, otters, and fish to sea turtles. Also visit Cannery Row, a
waterfront street which once was the old sardine canneries and lots of shopping. This afternoon we visit the town of Carmel exploring the art-filled village full of shops and cafes.  This artist community
became even more famous when the community elected Clint
Eastwood as their mayor. Enjoy dinner tonight. B,D

Day 3: Sunday, 12/31 Wineries & New Year’s Celebration! Enjoy breakfast with new friends, then it’s off for a tour of the Napa and Sonoma Wine Country. These areas are the crown jewels of California’s wine
county full of scenic vistas, charismatic towns, excellent restaurants, and welcoming vintners. We will enjoy wine tastings at two charming wineries. Returning to our hotel, to Celebrate New Year’s Eve with dinner, dancing, and party favors as we count down to midnight on New York Time Zone. B, D

Day 4: Monday, 1/1 San Francisco—Happy New Year’s! Today we go on a San Francisco city tour with a highly acclaimed local guide, who will bring this city to life with its city energy.   Enjoy favorite sights like the Golden Gate Bridge, Union Square, Ghirardelli Square Pier 39 and Fisherman’s Wharf and more! B

Day 5 Tuesday,  1/2 Return home After breakfast we board our flight home. Sit back and reflect on your fun-filled tour of this lovely city, you may feel the same as its theme song “I Left My Heart in San Francisco” sung by the great Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra. B
